Basic Mix Fried Rice

Mixed Fried is a food originating in China, it is also one of the most frequently purchased meals at the restaurant for their take-out. This type of
food has basic ingredients such as rice, eggs, carrots, peas, and whatever other ingredients you want to put to your taste. As a parent we want our kids to eat right and with nutrients, because we know that kids are hard to feed and they love fried dishes like hotdog, meatloaf, ham and whatever, I recommend this kind of cuisine.

Ingredients

1 cup uncooked rice, (180g)
2 cups water, (480ml)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil,
¼ cup minced white onion,
1 tablespoon minced garlic,
½ cup diced carrots, ¼ -inch dice
1 teaspoon sesame oil,
3 large eggs, whisked
½ cup peas, frozen, defrosted
1 tablespoon soy sauce
kosher salt, for seasoning
white pepper, for seasoning
2 tablespoons thinly sliced green onions

Direction

In a saucepan, rinse uncooked rice with cool water until it runs
clear, then drain off excess water.

Wash rice use 2 cups of water for this.

Boiled water, turn down heat to simmer and then cover.

For 10 to 12 minutes let the rice simmer, to make the rice well cooked.

Remove rice from the heat and from 5 to 10 minutes allow it to sit.

Allow to cool the rice to room temperature and start preparing the other ingredients.

Preheat a large pan over a high flame

Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil or you can use any cooking oil if you want, once hot add in the rice. Start stir-frying the rice.

Cook it for 30 seconds. Repeat stirring every 30 seconds and do this for 5 minutes to make the rice brown.

Add 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil or any cooking oil if you want.

From there, add onion, garlic, and carrots, and for 1-minute stirfry, all the said ingredients then mix it with the rice to combine.

From rice, make a large well again and from there add in 1 teaspoon vegetable oil and 1 teaspoon sesame oil.

Whisked eggs and pour in the pan, for about 30 seconds allow to sit, then stir it to combine with the rice.

Add the soy sauce and stir it to combine.

Add the peas, stir it to combine and cook for about 2 minutes.

For your desire taste season, it with salt and white pepper.

Garnish with green onions, and ready to serve.

Cooking Tips

To achieve the correct texture of the rice to be used in this cuisine, it is advisable to use left-over rice. The left-over rice is more dry and good to
use for this dish, another one that is more economical to use as it does not need to consume any more rice.
